3 days of 3rd Grade!
Today we celebrated 3 days in 3rd grade by doing lots activities around the number 3. We listed our 3 favorite foods, places and hobbies to name a few. We then played several math games. In one game we rolled 3 dice and added the numbers. The other game, we added 3 of the same numbers to solve a riddle!

Getting to know each other with the
Paper Chain Challenge!
Third graders have been getting to know each other and work cooperatively. Third graders worked with a partner and were given the challenge of making the longest paper chain they could using only one piece of paper. Partners had to communicate, plan, collaborate and problem solve. When groups finished we talked about what worked well and how when the plan didn't work, partners had communicate and problem solve.
