I often have families who ask for suggestions for the summer so that their child maintains the skills that they have worked so hard to attain over the school year. Below is a list of websites that provide quality Literacy and Math Practice.
Math
Fasttmath ( for those entering 3rd Grade) - Keep practicing your math facts over the summer. Remember, if you do not practice for more than 10 days, FM will reset you back to the start.
Johnnie's Math Page - This webpage has links to many math games and activities. Students have played many of the games during math menu.
Reading
Reading A-Z - Although this is not free, there is a two week free trial. You can download leveled readers to read online or print out.
Online Reading Skills - This website was suggested to me by Mrs.Ethesham. It's not free, but may be worth it.
Themes/Other
abcya.com - Educational games for kids by grade level.
3 Dinosaurs Summer Themes - If you are looking for printables made just for summer! Here is where you will find them. There are summer learning programs, reading charts, bucket list and more will be added each summer. These are weekly units that have different themes that are a week long.
I hope you all have a safe and fun summer vacation!
See you at the end of August!
