Spring Planting

Wrapping Up Second Grade

We are starting to wrap up a few units and I will be beginning several end of year assessment next week including the PNOA (Primary Number and Operations Assessement) for math and the Fountas and Pinnell Reading Assessment.
We will be finishing up our short Fraction unit next week and then do another short unit on Measurement.
In Social Studies, we flew to Mexico. We learned what school, daily life and celebrations are like. We made pinatas for a souvenir.

Next week, we will be flying back to the USA to tell others what we have learned about other cultures.  The children are also getting a chance to research a different country to compare and contrast cultural aspects.  We have been learning how to research, use Google Slides to and cite sources using

We finished up our Persuasion unit last week with a celebration.  It was so nice to see so many families support our young writers!
