Writing
Second graders have been working hard putting the finishing touches on their Persuasive writing pieces by revising them to make their arguments stronger and editing them to make them correct. We will be delivering our letters either by mailing them or hand delivering them.
We will be sharing our writing at our Writing Celebration on Friday, May 25th at 1:45.

Reading
As we finish up the year in reading, we have been reviewing retelling the important parts of stories. We have had reading buddies as we explore reading longer books and keeping track of important events in longer stories. Last week we explored how stories often have messages/lessons. We read several fables and talked about the lesson for each fable. We have also been reviewing making connections with our reading and character traits.
We will be finishing up reading this year by joining Series Book Clubs!
