We have been using Lightboxes to explore how light interacts with different objects.

We learned that some objects let light through easily. These objects are described as transparent.

Others let some light through. These objects are described as translucent.

Some objects block all light. These objects are opaque.

Ask your child to give some examples of each.

Edutyping

Before vacation students logged on to Edutyping to begin practicing typing.  Students have done an amazing job keeping their fingers at the home row!  Your child can log in and ome through the UID website.

Writing

We finished up our writing unit by publish our favorite poems.  Students worked with their partners to choose a poem, revise it and edit it.  We then typed our poems and published them in a class book.

who had also recently finished their Poetry Unit!
